A Time and Season for Everything Under Heaven

June 29, 2014

Greetings from Idaho!  Blessings to all who read these inspirations, and may they be as helpful for you as they are for me!

Today at a local church a Pastor spoke on the inbetween stages or our walk with the Lord.  He described how David had a great example of being inbetween when Saul who annointed David to become King, also became jealous of Him and tried to have him killed several times.  I Samuel 18:5-6, 18:9, and how there was a time of wilderness or hiding out, literally I Samuel 22:1-2.

David as you know killed, defeated Goliath because of his faith and a sling shot even though David was small in stature and depended on Gods supernatural power.  God said, and David stepped out in faith.  I Samuel 17:32.  So, when God gives us something to do, He provides the way and the timing.

The inspiration here is that If God is for us, who can be against us....no one!!  All things are possible in Christ Jesus who gives us the strength.  Phil 4:13

So as we continue waiting on the next step, let's remember it is His step and His timing!!!  So, good-bye giants!!!  How ever the waiting feels like, it is always perfected In...

Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom! 2 Corinthians 3:16-17

April 26, 2010

16 "But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.  17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

When the Apostle Paul wrote these words, he was refering to the veil that covered the hearts of men in the time of Moses, which is believing in the old covenant. But..... the new covenant  is in Christ, so as we turn to Him the Spirit that dwells in us when we believe gives us a new freedom.  Then we have the "Abundant Life," He promised.

Some people might think it is the other way around.  I have heard others say Christ came to give us abundant life, that is part of why He came here...but if we do not accept His ways and work towards the goal of walking in His ways, then the abundant life is......just words.  Because, first and foremost, He came to save that which was lost....(Matt 18:11 KJV) He came to save our souls first, and then to show us how to receive the abundant life by believing in Him and growing into His likeness, His image, the Light that shows His love through us.  For...

What about the basics?

December 10, 2009

Here is it that time of year and what this site is all about...Jesus!  He is the reason for the season. Tonight at Pastor Kanai's Bible Study we went over the basics.  Funny but none of us were new Christians so we had more of an Iron Sharpens Iron session.  In other words, seasoned mature Christians discussing the basics, but it was too easy to get into the completities that some of us are guilty of...lol  We Christians are a peculiar people for sure and the more we know, the easier it is to get into some of the deeper things of God, so getting back to basics is just what we needed to do.  We discussed how often talking to new Christians can confuse them with what seems to be a language all our own, otherwise known as Chirstianese...etc.  So...............the basics....The Love of God to start.....the original sin,,,Adam and Eve who got us into this mess of being born sinners in need of a Savior.  And of course God sending His one and only Son Jesus to die on the cross.....but....He is alive....he gave up His life..no one took it.  And because He died, he took all our sins away... A Book Review: The Shack, and Controversies in the Truth of This Fiction by Joy Pine

November 17, 2009

A book review:

The Shack, and Controversies in the Truth of this Christian Fiction by Joy Pine

What if God could be defined by stepping outside the box …

What hooked me about this book, The Shack,” is the Non-Traditional approach to

who God is. This book challenged me as it opened my mind and spirit, because even

though it is fiction, I saw that there is a truth in it for anyone who reads it, the way it is

written. There is a message so clear, innocent, captivating, tragic, and painfully honest.

One afternoon, a minister friend of mine suggested I read this book. I had recently

seen this writing in Christian and Non-Christian circles alike; - even Wal-Mart! She

would not tell me anything about it other than it is a must read, which piqued my

curiosity as I trust a lot of her judgment.

The first four chapters were slow in getting to any plot, so I wasn’t sure what to

think. What a tragic experience Mack, the main character experienced;- a child of his

kidnapped and murdered. Mack, who was suppose to be a loving Christian family man of

high moral character could no longer...

This is the Day! Aloha means breath of God and I feel such peace and His presence here tonight!

November 8, 2009

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! I just arrived on the Big Island this afternoon !

For the past few months I have struggled with what God wants for my life, so I am here to find out.  This was unexpected as it usually is when the Lord surprises me with a new adventure.  So, if you haven't guessed it, I am back in Hawaii on the Big Island checking in with the Creator to see what He has for me to do here next.  So far it looks like I will be doing some outreaches on the weekend and consider what tent making job I will do this time around. This is God's economy as He does all things well.  Usually I have an idea about what I am doing when I get sent somewhere, but today I can say I am waiting here on the Lord, not on any individual to see what His best is for my life and I find that pretty exciting.  My life has been a step of faith for several years now.

Since I am doing online classes at BSU I have...

Be Still and know that He is God!!

September 19, 2009

It is a funny thing how we can so easily think we know what God is saying exactly, but that is a problem, because if we are suppose to "lean not on our own understading," as in Prov. 3, then we can be assured that we cannot always know what He is saying at every moment.  But, we as Christians need to seek Him always for the answers will surely come in His time.  Preparing our spirit for what God has for us is not always easy especially if our desires are trying to over rule us.  The question is what is Gods desire, what does He want for our lives.  We can get tanlged in thinking we have the answer because we feel something strongly, but ultimately we need to press in and be still, when He says to, and wait on His answer.  I have heard some say that they can only hear him truely when they step into Holiness.  So what is Holiness?  I would say accountability for our actions.  To go beyond calling ourselves Christians and living like the world still.  To get what God wants, we need to get it....or GOD IT !

So, we...

Praise Report!!

September 11, 2009

Thank you for all the prayers, just went through some routine testing for an annual physical and they did more than the ususal tests and if there was anything wrong, it is healed by the stripes of Jesus now!!  These online courses are different but, I have the flexibility of doing other things with my life...so much more freedom.  Please pray for a project I am starting, will keep you all posted.

Daughter Kelly is getting married Oct. 10, so that is 2 married and 2 more to go!  It should be a lot of fun since it is on the beach at a beach house, with barbaque, then wedding the next day, then brunch...then home.  Have a blessed day in the Lord!

I Can Only Imagine!!! When Jesus Comes!!!!!!!!!

May 22, 2009

Tonight is an inspirational night as I sit at the Christian Bookstore listening to a vocalist with a piano in front of her.  Originally I was here to get a new friend a gift, but stumbled on this worship at the bookstore with songs so familiar to sing along with.  What a divine appointment, just what I needed...Along with the classes I am taking I added those piano lessons for the summer at BSU, as I remembered that I wanted to improve those skills....Lord is so awesome with what he is doing as my night classes this summer have taken on a new challenge that I am sure was orchestrated by the Creator Himself.  Well this is the beginning of the new blog, so I will continue later with His praises.  Blessings to all!

 July 4, 2009

Happy 4th of July, bear with me I am still learning how to do this blog thing...lol  This is our independance day!!  Do we really appreciate our freedom in this country, or for that matter in Christ??  Our nation was founded on Christian principals,....the constitution was founded on our freedom as Christians.  It took 3 days of prayer to put our constitution...
